What gives the state Botanist the authority to regulate and control firearm use when not even the legislators, the governor, or AG has the authority to regulate firearms or the discharge of them? It must be something called entitled job title authority. The supreme court has already ruled that states or its agents cannot write or enforce laws restriction use of and firing of fire arms, and the governor knows it.

The state forester cannot make this determination, its a constitutional freedom that cannot be regulated by a wannabe cop. The state chooses to waste million of dollars in court fights and battles over this issue, its an illegal scare tactic without authority or legitimacy.

We do have to feel sorry for this poor botanist guy becoming the fall guy for the state law enforcment departments. He can't even ticket someone for firing their gun let alone take the guy to court.

So you are saying states have no right to regulate firearms for any reason? Your right to fire your gun where ever and whenever you want does not supersede others right to not loose their life and property. The courts have ruled time and again that we can place reasonable time place and mater restrictions on peoples rights. you can still go to an indoor ranger or other approved areas to fire at will but you do not get to put others life and property at risk through your own willful reckless behavior.
