Our Boy Scout troop from Huntington Beach got to Mooney Falls just as KJ was pulled from the water. While not much comfort, it did become a sober talking point over the next few days we spent at Havasupai and beyond. Our young men became noticeably more grateful and caring about each other and their families. Couldn't agree more that there is some good for others that can come from reflecting on these tragedies and realizing they can happen to anyone at anytime so don't waste the time you have.
Wow my heart breaks for the 2 families
