Counter Intelligence: Nice start to the article debate! Comments are Appreciated!

18 Republican Governors were elected in the 2010 Tea Party focused election that saw the House elect 242 Representatives from the Republican party.

These 18 States have exceeded the National Employment growth by 50 percent. That doesn't include other states that already had Republican governors.

These results are not a problem for Romney. They are a major problem for Obama since his policies are opposed to the Republican plans executed in each state and similar to those of Mitt Romney!

Just think what economic growth could be like if the Administration wasn't trying to stop American Capitalism from succeeding?

Obama claims now this week he supports a middle class tax cut after just saying a few weeks ago that 1. The Middle Class and the Economy are doing fine. 2. 98 percent of the population would get a tax cut! How is that Mr. President when 49 percent of the population pays no taxes? Playing with the numbers and which taxes might get cut for 1 year is no plan. It is devisiveness at its worst! American Families, Small Businesses and Corporations need long term policies!

Obama implies that Republican governors are inconsistent when he says, "I've noticed as I've traveled around the country there are a lot of Republican governors who are starting to take credit for improvements in the economy except when I show up and then suddenly they think we had nothing to do with it."

If Republican governors are taking credit, how is it contradictory to then claim that Obama's administration had nothing to do with it? Aren't the two claims referenced in Obama's quote actually the same thing, and entirely consistent with each other?

Smoke and mirrors, divide and confuse - it's all Obama has, and hopefully the voters aren't really so easily duped.

If Obama were successful, the whole nation would be seeing drastic improvement rather than those states in which Republican governors were recently elected. How does this help Obama? Apparently Obama's tactics are failing, and these states are succeeding despite Obama, not because of Obama.

If you live in those "Republican-governed" states, you know the truth. The problem is that the states that are struggling will still be carried by President Obama, no matter the economic conditions. These include CA, NY, MI, IL -- which account for around 110+ electoral votes. Add up the electoral votes of the 18 successful states and they might equal that number. The message has got to be "the economy", both current AND future, but that is being over-circused by the Democrat's sideshows and their complecent media.

I'm proud to say that I was one american Baby Boomers who set the standard by which the economy bases its effectiveness in the Creation of the most powerful economic success the wrold has ever been witness to. I have also been witness to the decline and downfall of the economy and why it has happened by subsequent generations.

So far no one can take credit for any economic recovery or improvement regardless of a trillion poverty jobs created. There has been no recovery or improvement in the economy. It has declined even further and from all accounts, the economy will never become the standard the Baby Boomer's created and enjoyed.

If our form of the economy and job wealth was so wrong then why did it work? We invented Vacations, we invented technology, we invented moon travel, we invented CD/DVD, we invented the transistor and miniaturized communications, TV's, then we invented the dreams of buying homes, new cars, and fast food and Disneyland just for fun. Is that the wrong kind of economy that americans want? I do not understand the dream of socialism and being dependent on government handouts and its dreams.

So give us Republican governors and a Republican president, and a Republican Senate and then we'll get out of this stagnant economy.

But give Obama another 4 years and we'll see the economy limp along with a slow downward trend until the federal budget finally overwhelms the ability of the fed reserve to delay a huge economic recession. Just watch. Obama wins, we go to a recession...or a depression.

Romney wins and we'll slowly begin climbing out of this mess that Obama has created.

Did those governors also take credit when the economy tanked under a republican president?

Typical AM radio, Conservative il-logic....

When everything is BAD - it's Obama's fault.
When everything is GOOD - Obama had nothing to do with it.

Don't believe me?
Think about what they say with the ups or downs of ANYTHING;
gas prices,
job growth,
Dow Jones,
Killing Osama Bin Laden,
the rising and setting of the sun...

Bad - credit Obama
Good - No credit Obama.

Hypocrites measure by a double standard.

David,

Look at recent history,
That's what caused the mess we're in in the 1st place.

No Thanks!

I challenge you to look at history. The most recent recession was caused by the bursting of the housing bubble created by Democrats in the 1990's when lending institutions were required by the federal govt to extend loans to previously unqualified individuals, all within the guise of extending the American dream to more people. A worthy goal, but once again demonstrates the folly of government trying to manipulate markets.

Progressives, Keynesians (including Bush), & Democrats are largely to blame for our economy.

Leave Obama in office & we'll get more centralized control of the economy in the form of regulations & laws requiring Americans to purchase ----(fill in the blank). He has already wrecked the economy. Does he really need 4 more years to burn it down?

This article presents the proof. States with Republican governors are doing better than the unfortunate states run by Democrats. So I say again, give us more GOP governors & Romney in the White House.

Enjoy reviewing history!

Baby boomers did all of that? Wow, you were very young when you accomplished all of that. It seems to me that a great deal of the corporate greed that has us in this economic mess also came from that same generation. Thank you for your legacy.

WE [Americans] invented those things, but greedy businesses OFF-Loaded and Out-Sourced the Production and Manufacturing of those items [the real $$$ making] to Empirial Japan, then now to Communist China – Growing Their economies while America’s tanks.

FYI – Socialist Countries like Germany and Japan don’t out-source. Their Socialist Governments protect their citizens [Government’s #1 priority] and maintaining their economies but not allowing greedy businesses to make huge profits at the expense of their citizens’ livelihood.
