Sounds like the Jazz plan to make a long term commitment to Mo Williams. I'm a little supprised but it may be the best they think they can do concerning cost as Heyward, Burkes, Millsap, Favors, Jefferson and Kantor will probably command pretty big price tags in the future. Marvin Willliams is a short term deal probably but the shock of this trade might wake him up. I think Miles, Carrol, Ahearn and Howard are gone baring injury. Does anyone know what Watson's status is?
Not yet on Watson. All i know is that Mo is tough that is all i have to know. Welcome Mo u the man
Watson has 1 yr left on his contract @2mil. What a breath of fresh air it is to hear an NBA vet like Mo talk. I truly believe we will be much more competitive nightly this year than last, and trade with Atlanta will pay super dividends. Williams is a real good player that never got untracted in Atlanta, but I believe he will here. One more tweak and this team will be fun too watch next year!
Carrol will still be on this team but with the pick up of Marvin Williams his time will be much less.
the team is taking shape
Williams, Hayward, Williams, Favors & Al
Tinsley, Burks,Mid Level, Milsap & Kanter
watson. evans, carrol & murphy
trade bell for a future draft pick = we would only get a second round for him though
or package bell, watson & sap/al for somthing good - who knows what some teams might give for expiring contracts.
keep making calls kevin
Mo is coming. Can Larry & Curly be far behind?
Harris is gone and Mo is here because Harris was essentially a sissy on defense.
Mo is tough and tough matters if your team plans on playing any defense and if they don't you are worthless in the NBA when it matters most in the playoffs.
Definitely an upgrade at PG.
I'll be interested to see if Marvin Williams can improve himself here. That worthless one-on-one Joe Johnson offense they ran in Atlanta did not give alot of opporunity to Marvin so the system here along with coaching may help him.
Now, if we could just find a way to stop Jefferson from standing and holding the ball for 2/3rds of the shot clock and then forcing it up through the doubleteam!!
