"He's a global warming skeptic who says, "The guilty party in my view is Mother Nature." "

As long as we can blame Mother Nature, we are absolved of taking any action.

And if we are wrong .........?

And? Therefore what? If this is global warming, is it caused by man made CO2? If so, then what? What are they saying? Does that mean that because mankind is such an evil anomalous entity on the earth, then what? Cut off our electricity, stop driving cars and trucks, and all internal combustion engines? Go back to the midevil condition of mankind? Just exactly what are they trying to tell us? What kind of sacrifices are to be made my mankind to stop this evil CO2?

The same thing God has already said --
Moderation in ALL things,
Be good Stewards of the Earth,
I gave you intelligence, now use it!

It's interesting that these same people were so quiet just 18 months ago when we were experiencing a colder than usual winter in much of the world. It's also interesting that most of these same people are now saying only that these current conditions are what global warming "looks like"... without actually saying that this is global warming itself.
I just read last week that our entire solar system is currently undergoing a warmer than normal temperature cycle. It's an absurd stretch to say that the temperatures on Neptune are effected by our driving habits here on earth. It's a simple fact that temperature and weather cycles happen everywhere. They always have and they always will. Extra hot and dry summers existed 500 years ago before cars and factories were even vague ideas. Extra cool and wet summers will again soon happen here.
Most years are either somewhat hotter or somewhat cooler than normal. We seldom experience exactly average. But every measurable variance is now going to be touted as man-caused and argued for political purposes. It's become the nature of our society and something we'll just have to get used to.

Global warming is as truthful as affordable healthcare, and over population.

Amazing how people are so easily deceived and fooled into excepting a third world life. Pathetic.

Here where I live, we have had record cold temperatures for this time of the year! I wish we could share our cold weather and some of you could share your hot weather with us! I have been trying to do my part, driving my SUV around trying to change the climate here, but so far, its still very cold and rainy here!

Can we please stop calling this global warming and refer to this as climate change? Yes, the hot will more hot, but there are also cold extremes and more extreme, violent weather patterns, such as hurricanes and tornados.

OK, wo, wo, wo. Just a few winters ago it was record setting cold. Global warming nuts rebutted the criticism against global warming by saying you can't tell by one season. But now they are pointing to this summer as evidence? Can't have it both ways.

Let stop scaring people to fit political agendas, create new fines, or gain political power. I'm tired of the lies and especially of articles like this. The earths climate is so complex that to boil down to man made is ignorant or deceptive, it definitely is not honest.

Look at the AVERAGE temperatures,

It is rising - I refuse to waste my time on folks who can not and will not - simply look at the facts and data and study it out for themselves but instead, reply of mumblings of college drop outs on the radio.

Go stick your heads back in the sand,
Nothings happening out here....

@ouisc said, "Can we please stop calling this global warming and refer to this as climate change?"

No, we cannot because they have two different meanings:

Global warming is defined as an increase in the earth's atmospheric and oceanic temperatures widely predicted to occur due to an increase in the greenhouse effect resulting especially from pollution. (Source: Merriam-Webster New Collegiate Dictionary)

Climate (or climatic) change is defined as any systematic change in the long-term statistics of climate elements (such as temperature, pressure, or winds) sustained over several decades or longer. Climate change may be due to natural external forcings (such as changes in solar emission; slow changes in the earth’s orbital elements; natural internal processes of the climate system), or [due to] anthropogenic forcing. (Source: American Meteorological Society)

Are they interrelated? Yes. Are they same thing? No.

When it comes to "...what effect human-kind has upon Anthropometric Global Warming (AGW)," unfortunately the focus of much of this irrational discussion falls upon two non-debatable facts and their scientific interrelationship:

1. There is no question that the overall average global temperatures are slowly increasing. That is a fact - it is scientifically measurable.

2. Even though it is a trace atmospheric gas, there is no question that there has been a consistent increase in the amount of CO2 concentrations (measured in parts per million) in the earth's atmosphere. That is also a fact and is scientifically measurable.

But all this bantering fails to focus in on the important crux of the AGW hypothesis (increased CO2 concentrations being the cause).

It is my understanding the BIG debate among climate scientists today is HOW SENSITIVE is the earth's atmosphere to these increased CO2 forcings? Compounding the answer to this question, there are also many other atmospheric forcings that can cause increases in average global temperatures. But it is difficult to isolate and measure the overall sensitivity of each forcing along with their respective interrelationships.

Validation of the AGW hypothesis by climate scientists is still in-work.

Al Gore is still trying to capitalize on his attempts to corner the market on carbon credits and the libs across the world are still trying to further rape the propserity of the US to spread our wealth to the little dictatorships that brutalize third-world countries.

Wow! Some of you guys are so easily fooled.

When in world history has climate ever remained constant. Al Gore flunked science and didn't even know who the founding fathers were when he became vice president.

Man can't change climate anymore than a spider can. We would have done it a long time ago, and maybe could have prevented the storms which just hit the east. Prevented some hurricanes?

At one time, man feared falling off a flat earth. Now some are scared of changing the climate? If man was meant to fly, he would have been born with wings? Let's do some creative thinking.

Government controlled education has hindered self thinking with grouping strategies. Groups follow a central authority, and will believe cutting trees in a jungle will destroy the planet, or anything else they want you to believe. Maybe we'll have free healthcare.

On "this is what global warming looks like", the troubling fact is that if this is caused by global warming, this is the beginning of the journey, not the end result. It will only get worse.
