Jack Lew, WH chief of staff said that the people want to let the ACA rest and to focus on the economy. We will focus on the economy best by repealing this atrocious bill that has stalled much of the economy due to fear of all the costs this bill creates to many small businesses. This November will be the defining moment for the cause of restoring our freedom.

I fully agree that "VOTERS" at the polls will have the final word on President Barack Obama's health care law come November. This is a win for Obama. This is his bill. There's not really any doubt in people's minds. Obama's Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, has made it clear that he will run against the law. He has to. "We are Republican voters, but don't get into a Republican convention?" Party conventions are invitation-only. Without media credentials or a slot in Florida's delegation, you won't get through the Secret Service's security perimeter around the convention venues. Is the Uglund House Romney's second home?. No organization owns my vote, I will give it to whoever I feel will serve the nation best regardless of the letter next to their name. All the GOP cares about is more big guns for the hunters, subsidies for the Koch Brother's and their "Rich and Famous" friends. That's "welfare for the rich" government, subsidies to big business, pork-barrel Pentagon contracts to weapons makers, huge tax breaks for wealthy individuals, and colossal contracts for reconstruction to politically connected companies like Halliburton.

peter -- will you and the rest of people who believe that ACA has somehow "stalled the economy" please explain exactly HOW it has done that? Let's see some solid statistics instead of soundbites and propaganda.

Obama's socialized medicine scheme was never popular with a majority of the American people. It was crammed down our throats in spite of this. Now the left hopes that we will just learn to accept it. The huge tax hike on the American middle class will make this impossible. t won't be easy, but must be done. Our country won't survive it.

And if Obama is reelected and/or the Democrats retain control of the Senate, will the GOP still feel this way, or will they spin a new rationalization to attempt to undermine full implementation of the ACA?

Please, no more talk of repeal; the GOP (with whom I agree on many issues) says in 2009 and 2010 our President should have focused on the economy more and less on health care (though we came out of the recession in June of 2009). Now the GOP wants to focus on health care and not on jobs. Let's move forward. This law will be tweaked here and there-----it is going to be reformed in coming decades, yet it won't be repealed. A decade ago our emotions got the best of us and we were willing to spend unlimited amounts of money on fighting an enemy on the other side of the globe; surely we can spend the same amount on our own people.

How about these specifics for what a lowsy plan this is. Our company insurance plan because of Obamacare now provides for a free yearly physical as opposed to the past where it was a $20 co-pay. That free physical only costs me an additional $50/month in my premium. So, in essance, my yearly physical is now $600 instead of $20. What a plan. Vote GOP, repeal healthcare and get rid of Obama, and the rest of his liberal friends!!

The Revolution, the Civil War, World Wars, the Cold War, the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, floods, earthquakes, fires, terrorism and various epidemics - ALL THESE we can and have survived, but putting ACA in place in order to get care for ALL Americans, THAT, will ruin us and consign the nation to the recycle bin of history? No, I just can't believe that.

The republicans are playing this all wrong. They need to quite feeding the masses 'red meat' Instead of trying to repeal the law, which they may do if Hell freezes over. Once a bill passes both houses, the president signs it and receives the blessing of the supreme court The bill will not be repealed! They will not win the white house talking repeal. They may win the White house if they talk compromise. Work with the Democrats to reshape parts of the bill. To repeal they would have to have a super majority ion the Senate, the house and win the white house. I do not believe they will win the white house. I do not believe they will win control of the Senate.

I only question that if Obama wins, will the Republicans finally start working for a real solution. Romney's promise to scrape every line of the bill, including provisions for pre-existing conditions and the coverage of college students should create enough daylight between the two for the American public to clearly make their voice heard - either way. It will come down to do Americans feel healthcare for these class of people is important or not. It isn't are we going to tweak it, correct it, or make it better.

It is all or nothing.

Fix it, or go back to the trajectory we were on before. No middle ground. The lines are clear. It will be real interesting to see what is important to Americans.

RE: TexasBlue;

I have a hard time beliveing that you premiums are going up that mch from Obama care. And the reason, i say that is because a lot of the plan is not even in afeck yet. And will not be till 2014.

Only a blind fool believes that Congress, or any other body, has the authority to FORCE someone to pay a fine, or a "tax", for literally doing NOTHING.

Justice Roberts, while smugly thinking he did what was right by voting against Obamacare on the grounds of reigning in the use of the Commerce Clause, yet simultaneously saying Obamacare was legal on the grounds of Congress's authority to "tax", in the end did
n-o-t-h-i-n-g to prevent Congress from severely over-reaching their Constitutional authority in the future.

"Go buy a pair of shoes to spur the economy or we'll "tax" you if you don't. The SCOTUS ruled we (Congress) can do that, remember?" You're dreaming if you believe Congress will not eventually order such blatant acts of obedience. What? You TRUST Congress?.......riiiiiiight.

Justice Roberts ignored what even children understand and proved his loyalty to only his vanity; by trying to have his tenure as Chief Justice of the SCOTUS viewed as "rational" and "above politics" he instead has proven himself to be a vain and misguided judge who hastened America along the path to total destruction.

Millions of Americans are uninsured or underinsured. Healthcare costs significantly more in America than anywhere else in the world. Healthcare inflation in the United States consistently outpaces overall inflation. How does the Republican Party plan to address these issues? They don't. The Republican Party is the party of the rich and the disconnected from reality, and Mitt Romney is their poster child.

If Obama wins a second term, will the Republicans finally shut up about it?

Voters have been forcefully raised, and indoctrinated in government schools, while being highly entitled.

Many will cheer healthcare with little thought.

not here,

Yes, premiums are going up because of Obamacare. My company is talking about an increase of $600-$1000/year increase in order for them to pass along all of the extra costs. Many companies are now talking about no longer subsidizing health insurance, leaving the entire amount of a health insurance premium to the employee.

Lew is dead wrong--this bill affects so many more than the "1%" who have elected to not have health insurance. It is also interesting that Lew thinks that we want to focus on the economy, instead of healthcare, considering that legislators were forcing ACA at a time when a very small percentage of folks thought an individual mandate for health insurance was a priority. It was the economy then, and repealing ACA is very much about the economy today.

Just add it to the list.
Yet another Shrill cry for the GOP to energize their voting base....

100 more years to listen to their rally cry of "Vote for me, I will:_______"

Repeal Social Security
Repeal Roe v. Wade
Repeal the 14th Ammendment
Repeal the 16th Ammendment
Repeal Social Security
Repeal Obamacare

...pure rhetoric....

* I'll cut the deficit in half
* ninety percent of working Americans will see tax cuts
* I will lower unemployment
* I'll bring the troops home in six months.
* I'll work with Canada for an oil pipeline.
* We'll drill on sixty eight millions acres of American land and get away from foreign dependence.
* Senior making less then fifty thousand per year will not pay income taxes.
* people making less then $250,000 per year will not pay an extra dime for taxes in any form.

Now some will believe in the affordable healthcare bill? Amazing! Some people lack wisdom.

No they are going up because of unscrupulous employers like yours, who would pay you less than minimum wage and offshore your job in a minute to make another dollar, just like mitt, and then blame the democrats for not letting them abuse people more.

Yes worf we get it, You believe in the do nothing mentality because you are an island, I however live in a society with my friends and neighbors not on the hill with the elites who couldn't tell you how much a gallon of milk or gas cost and have never had to budget for insurance premiums which rose at 10 to 40 percent a year before Obama was ever president.
