No matter what age the child, the loss to a parent is overwhelming! No matter how death comes, the wound to the parent is devastating! All we can do is stumble on, devoting the rest of our lives to give meaning to the loss and to helping others who are also suffering.
Well said. and I agree with the previous posters. It is an unbearably heavy load. It's been 21 years since my son died by his own hand. After that, every sorrow in another child filled my heart with terror.. calming into uneasiness as years went by.
I believe that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ all mankind may be saved - and healed, of even this, the deepest of blows. .
