No surprise here, but still great news! Get rid of BO!

Too bad that most of the people who voted for Romney know about only three things about him:
1) He is Mormon
2) He is a great manager
3) He is not Barack Obama.

Get into the thicker issues, most Utahns are sadly ignorant of the fiscal liberal that Romney truly is.

I hope you are coming to realize that our two party system is generating the same results on both sides: Reckless spending.

I voted for him because he's a mormon. :-P

A sad day for Utah. We all knew that Obama wouldn't, and shouldn't, win. The poor showing for Ron Paul tells me yet again that the "elders of Zion" are not rallying to the support of the Constitution. It would help if they even read it.

Eric Greene: you show your own lack of research. You are just believing what the democrats and mainstream media say about Romney. Come on, get into the thicker issues, look beneath the surface of Romney's MA record. He did amazing things in an extremely liberal state and left it in better shape despite the efforts of an 85% democratic legislature.

There is no comparison between Barrack Obama and Mitt Romney. Anyone who says they are virtually the same isn't doing much research.

A fish rots from the head. Anybody BUT King Obama works for me.

You forgot the number one reason why we voted for Romney: He took over the 2002 Winter Olympics when they were headed towards financial disaster and when the Games were over there was $100 million dollars left in the bank.

That certainly doesn't sound like reckless spending to me.

Barack Obama's most impressive feats while President:

1. Assasination of Bin Laden
2. Beer Summitt with Harvard Professor and Cambridge Police
3. Getting Snoop Dog past security at the White House
4. Health Care Bill that will Bankrupt and an-ready-broke America
5. Very successful NCAA Tournament Brackets every March
6. Keeping Rahm Emanuel and Blagoyavich out of US jails.
7. Taking a 10 Billion dollar debt to 15 Billion in 4 years.
8. Brought Czar leadership to America
9. Made Greece and Italy the economic model of America
10. Blasted George Bush for starting wars and then proceeded to start a war with Lybia.

Mc says "There is no comparison between Barrack Obama and Mitt Romney. Anyone who says they are virtually the same isn't doing much research."

Let's take a look at their positions...
-Position on TARP and the stimulus package: both in favor.
-Position on Patriot Act: both support it.
-Position on the NDAA, which allows for indefinite detention of Americans without a trial: both support it.
-Belief that the President can declare war, and doesn't need Congress to declare war as the Constitution says: the same.
-As late as 2009, Mitt Romney was arguing that tax penalties for those not purchasing health care coverage be part of national reform, which seems to describe the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act.
-Neither one seems to care about deficits. We've seen Obama's lack of concern about spending, and estimates by the non-partisan group Budget Watch show Romney's plan could increase the deficit.
-Both at times have defended the policies of Ben Bernanke, and made it clear they have no interest in investigating the Federal Reserve.

So you're right, they are different. As long as we're not talking about spending, the Constitution, or warfare

I know you're making fun of it, but it's truthful and sad. Many African-Americans did the same thing for Obama without knowing much about his real political ideologies.

@Rifleman

"You forgot the number one reason why we voted for Romney: He took over the 2002 Winter Olympics when they were headed towards financial disaster and when the Games were over there was $100 million dollars left in the bank."

You forgot to mention the government support (possible bailout?) he received as assistance.

@USAlover

"8. Brought Czar leadership to America"

You've been listening to Glenn Beck too much instead of using your own conscience.

I'm not for Obama or Romney ... just pointing out flaws I see in these comments.

Nice comments for MC and David King. Here is another factor many Romney supporters don't look at.

Hitler didn't drink
Hitler didn't smoke
Hitler wanted military expansion.
Hitler supported the dentention of citizens
Hitler didn't have sex
Hitler wanted to spy on people
Hitler wanted to attack foreign nations
Hitler also claimed to be right wing

So please do some research before you vote for someone that will be Obama on steroids

Obama will not lose the election. He'll sign an executive order which will keep him in. Congress has no back bone to stop it.

All of you guys that claim to know the facts and state it while calling the other person to get their research right, please cite your sources with you comments. You want credibility, show it.

Two great things about yesterday's election:

1) For the first time since Ross Perot, I was terribly proud of my vote for one of the candidates: Dan Liljenquist. That's not to compare Dan to Ross, just my emotion at casting the vote. Thanks for running, Dan!

2) With the foregone conclusion that Romney is the Republican presidential candidate, I had totally forgotten the presidentials would be on the ballot. What a treat to have a short moment to vote AGAINST Romney, the pretend-liberty man.

Alas, my vote in November will NOT be cast with any pride.

"It came to pass … there began to be some disputings among the people; and some were lifted up unto pride and boastings because of their exceedingly great riches, yea, even unto great persecutions; For there were many merchants in the land, and also many lawyers, and many officers.

"And the people began to be distinguished by ranks, according to their riches and their chances for learning; yea, some were ignorant because of their poverty, and others did receive great learning because of their riches. … And thus there became a great inequality in all the land." (3 Nephi 6:4-14)

Does this passage cause any concern for anyone in Utah, or will the majority of Utahns vote for Mitt no matter what?
