I wonder if these studies took into account whether or not the individual who did not engage in premarital sex also possessed a belief against divorce. If you do not believe in divorce, then including the fact that your marriage has not ended in divorce is misleading.
However, a comprehensive study by the CDC did find that people who engage in cohabitation have a higher risk of divorce...sometimes. There was only a 5% higher chance of divorce for men, 1% higher risk for women. But, if the couple was engaged when they moved in, their marriage actually had a 5% lower divorce rate.
It's great that she wants to remain a virgin until she's married. That said, I don't think it should be announced to the world, it is a private matter. What will she do now if she meets some guy and suddenly changes her mind? What then? Not to mention the entire country/world examining her (real-or-imagined) sex life under the Hubble Telescope.
She is so cute and happy! Look at her face. No wonder why.
