I too found Hatch's answer astounding. He claimed no responsibility for any of our nation's crushing debt, even though he voted for some of the most significant bills that caused it. He's in denial, so I'm very skeptical that he would do anything to help fix the problem.

He's just as responsible as any one of us who accept a loan from a bank, a free lunch at the local elementary school, or a booster to buy a new home. Orrin Hatch (and people like me) are sick of people trying to blame him for the last 100 years of debt. If he and Mitt Romney can't get the wall to come down, then I concede. But they will not.

People voting for Scott Howell, or even Ron Paul are the most threatening to our national debt right now. Because it is one less vote that Mitt Romney and Orrin Hatch will have to back them in fixing the mess that has been an American trend for over 100 years.

Sometimes, "one can't see the forest for ALL the trees!" That's Orrin Hatch. He's party to a lot of the present national debt in the country. Yet, he takes NO responsibility. How ironic! Imagine, one of the principle culprits has NO guilt. Where have we heard that before???

Yet, we in Utah constantly forgive and forget. Status quo reigns supreme! Why would we want to vote Orrin Hatch out? Isn't he a permanent fixture in Washington? Aren't we obligated to vote for him? Isn't like that voting against a high authority in the pre-dominant church?

C'mon Utah. How long are a majority of you going to behave like sheep? Or like an ostrich, sticking your heads in the sand? America is drowning in debt, civil rights are being challenged, liberal jurist legislate right and left, and in "good old Utah", we go to the ballot box and vote "on command". This is learned obedience to higher authority, whether church or state, gone amuck! If you vote for the status quo, then you have NO right to complain!

If "lame duck" Senator Orrin Hatch gets re-elected, NOTHING will happen for six years!
