Loss didn't cost Real Salt Lake; win didn't help Galaxy

Alternate - It's RSL, not RLS. And anyone who would change the channel in disgust is miles away from being a true fan. Go somewhere and be embarrased. The rest of us will stand by our team, as we have done for years, up or down.

Were there mistakes made? Absolutely! Silly mistakes. Mistakes that cost us dearly. But I have yet to see any team or individual reach the level perfection that so many "fans" seem to think should just always be the norm. Everybody has their day on both sides of that fence.

At this point our boys need to buck up, take their licks, and continue the consistent quality of play they are admired for. And they will. They aren't where they are in the standings due to luck.

The game on Saturday will determine how important this all is. It's too bad RSL couldn't have put LA down, but there are still a lot of games to play.

I am sorry but the loss does hurt RLS. Big time. To say it doesn't is stupid. It is an embarrassment. How many statements were made at the water coolers about wasting time and money to go to that game. I was part of a discussion about changing TV channels out of disgust. More importantly, the three lost points can never be recovered. Down the road, 3 extra points at seasons end is like gold for most teams.

It now appears there is something worse in soccer than a "kissing your sister" tie.
