A good day for the GOP is a good day for the Deseret News

Re: " A good day for the GOP is a good day for the Deseret News"

A good day for the GOP is a good day for all of us, particularly when it spells defeat for greedy, overreaching leftists in the "labor" rackets that are destroying American industry and government.

It was, the other day, perhaps a good day for common sense and liberty in Wisconsin, but the California turnout mentioned (thirty five percent) is not a good day for anyone. It indicates the lack of choice available in elections and the consequent lack of enthusiasm of many voters. Arsenic or Poison? Republican or Democrat? seem to be the options. With a few honorable exceptions the choice of the local parties is an insult to the electorate. Third Party anyone?

No, you read it all wrong. Exit polls showed that 70% of the voters didn't like recall elections based on partisan politics. It could have been a liberal governor hounded by Tea Party activists. Same result!

This was not about public employee unions. It was all about people who didn't like their elected official so they tried to remove him. If Republicans could have a recall election for President Obama, don't you think they would have been working on that the day after the election in 2008?

It's all petty and frustrates people to the point of distraction.
