Thank you Amy, for reminding us of what is important in sport, and life. I was proud and thrilled when I read each of those stories originally, and loved being reminded of them today. I had a high school coach to preached "Winning is everything, but winning isn't determined by the score board."
Love this article. This is why we love sports. Trophies are nice and really fun, but it's the lessons you depict here and the thousands others that are too numerous to include that make sports so valuable. Thanks for a great article. Give us more of these type of articles in the future.
I appreciate the time it took to put this article together. As a family who enjoy sports and all of our children have and do play sports year round, we love these stories. People call us crazy, because we have to travel like nobody's business....we try not to miss a single game. But it is what my kids have learned from playing ball that counts the most.
