How else would you describe it justdoit? It was a gimmick play that doesn't
occur in many games, it tricked the player into thinking it was an overthrow.

I am sure Murray is the first one to fake a throw in the game of baseball. I
think the adjectives you chose Gimmicks, Trickery, and Deception are all very
negative and over exaggerated. If a pitcher fakes to first and throws to third
is that also a gimmick, trickery and deceptive. How about a catcher faking to
first and throwing to second. . . GET IT? Maybe if they paid more attention
(including coaches) they wouldn't have been thrown out at third. It is
always embarrassing to be caught not paying attention. :)
