How said it is that something like this is even happening in the United States. If our government would follow it's own rules and laws, this would not be news.
Now, if this happened in any other nation, those illegal immigrants who protest would not be around for long, as other nations do not have the paternalistic view held by those currently in charge of our nation.
The bottown line is this - compassion aside - are we a nation of laws or not? Sadly, not only are most of these protestors violating our immigration laws, just to remain here and work, most are using stolen identification and social security numbers.
There is a place for compassion, but it is for those who obey our laws.
People are coming out of the shadows and closets. Entitlements are the common denominators.
