Loved watching Detmer play. What a great time in BYU football when BYU actually threw the ball down field and had soon to be NFL players that weren't just good fireside speakers. Edwards ran a great program for so many years!!!
I will never forget when Detmer stepped forward in the pocket against Miami and the two defenders, not noticing this, ran directly into one another. Awesome play. Detmer was definitely not the biggest player, but he simply understood how to play the game.
I only we could get this Detmer fellow to suit up again for my Cougs!
