So glad to hear the Jazz brass isn't thinking about trading any of the Jazz bigs. I hear everyone talking about HAVING to trade Millsap or Jefferson and it makes me want to pull my hair out. Why trade your two best players? Corbin showed this year that he can manage their minutes effectively and if Millsap can improve his play at the 3 it'll only get better. Add some 3-point shooting and get a little more consistent guard play all-around and this team is a contender in the west. Bring back Carroll and Howard if possible, draft Lillard, and sign Mo Williams or Goran Dragic.
I think it's noteworthy how much Favors' game improved once he realized he was no longer trade fodder.
Even Millsap's and Harris' games changed after the trade deadline passed.
Millionaires or not, these guys are human. They're affected by instability.
The Jazz have a pretty good nucleus of young players in most positions (Hayward should be a 2, not a 3), so I'm expecting progress each year as they gain experience.
I'm also a Big Al fan, not that he's the best, but he's quite consistent and very difficult to defend. He's a keeper.
I love the core players the Jazz have and I hope they keep them, I hope Milsap works hard on his skills that will allow him to play the 3 more so Kanter can get more time on the floor. I think Kanter can show alot of improvement if he gets playing time. Favors should really improve, his attitude at the end was great and he is coming to understand how good he can be. Haywards struggles in the last 2 games should end up being a big positive as Hayward was not happy about how he played (shot)and that should push him in his workouts during the off season. We do need some consistent outside shooting and hopefully OConnor can find a couple of FA's that would be a good fit. The future looks bright.

Completely in agreement!
I personally would start Favors at 5 and Jefferson at 4, bring in Kantor and Milsap off the bench for his great scoring and rebounding with the second unit.
I would expect a player making $15 million to at least attempt to play defense. Jefferson needs to be traded ASAP, he's a major liability and only occasionally makes up for his lack of defense with his offensive production. Jefferson is nothing more than a more likeable Carlos Boozer who killed his team by not making any defensive effort during the playoffs.
@donlarson8
Al Jefferson? really?...he is a liability on both ends of the court...his feet is cemented to the ground on D...and would watch opposing guards just drive by him...on Offense...he is a blackhole..once he gets the ball its no turning back...his stats...dont equate to efficient and good gameplay in an actual game...if you really watch...you'd be crying in pain...everytime you see al Jefferson Play D...
the players that we need to trade...are Al Jefferson and Devin Harris...and squeeze every juice out of a trade for them...we could get better and more efficient players who would be willing to play D...

I agree. The defensive tone that big Al sets down low is not good. It results in opponents having a free lane to the hoop on big Als side of the floor. Harris is weak on defense too as we saw throughout the season. His biggest weakness though is distributing the ball and finding opportunities for his teammates to score. If he would just learn to drive and dish to Favors ( and others ) it would really help him to become a more effective point guard for this team. It seems though he is not interested in being a distributor and doesn.t see or involve his teammates. That's not the point guard this team needs.
