I was touched by what I learned about Holly from the article and can see that she is a very good person. And she is a key part of the Mendenhall team (of five). Thanks for sharing Holly and D.N. lb

Nice insight into the mentality that makes the Mendenhall's exceptional in everything they have done from families to football.

I know some sports fans tend to take sports to another level and include the families in bitter rivalries. When you include their families (whether you like the person or not), that is crossing the line. You may not like the person, but don't take it out on their families. Case in point, Max Halls family. I don't know if the whole beer throwing incident is true or not, but fans just don't do that to the opposing team's family members. However, if the family member's talk smack, you still have to keep your composure because that is what a rivalry is about. But the moment people cross the line, then we have problems. I'm sure Ms. Mendenhall is a simple, laid back, good person and doesn't get caught up very often in football rivalries. Some of us need to make a conscience effort in practice sportsmanship. I can speak for myself on this. I am no angel and can strive to be a better sports fan.

Hope those aren't his kids real names. I know it is horse related, but it smacks of what Bruce Willis named is poor kids. I know Bronco has a real first name. I think it's Marc. Other than that, good article on Mrs. Mendenhall.
