I didn't see grit and class. I saw 4 guys who didn't want the ball, 2
guys hustling (Carol, Favors) and 1 guy learning on the job (Burke), our most
experienced defender on the bench (Bell).
It was said in the article that the Jazz, "supposedly wasn't supposed
to be a postseason contender in this condensed NBA campaign." All I can say
is that the Jazz conclusively proved what they were not a postseason contender.
They simply were over their heads, and I fear that they will be in the same
predicament for some time.
I hope they bring Carol back. He was the one who sparked the rally at the end
and forced Pop to put his starters back in. The Jazz have certainly come a long
ways, and it won't be long before they are the ones at the top of the heap.
Nuh-uh. I see what you did there, guys! Lolly gag it for 13 out of 16 quarters,
then make a nice run in the last minutes of the final game so everyone can have
a nice feeling about a horrible, waste-of-time series. Nice try. Not buying it
for a second.
