Of course. He certainly won't be running on his own record.
Three years after barack said his first 787spendaton billion spendathon would prevent unemployment from reaching 8 percent, its still over 8
Wait, you're saying trickle down economics don't work?
We've been assured by the right that the more loopholes and tax cuts we funnel to corporations and the wealthiest Americans, the more they will throw down to the rest of us. I'm sure that's what I've heard from them, for decades.
One of these days, it's bound to actually be the truth, right?
Yeah, Mr President of the Untied States of America. Tear Mittens up. Obama would not be my first choice for president but he is and will do a much better job then Romney. Good to see see a story about the President in the Dnews once in a whil rather than the mormon candidate.
What shift? He's been in campaign mode all four years. Never bothered leaving campaign mode to get into governing mode. Plenty of time to pose with every celebrity, every winning sports team, to make appearances at all kinds of events all over the country and even the world, all campaigning on the taxpayer dime- but no, he couldn't be bothered to help get a budget passed, too busy campaigning.
From the article:
In the first formal rallies of his bid for a second term, Obama acknowledged the U.S. economy has struggled to recover from a painfully deep recession but declared, "We've been through too much to turn back now."
So despite saying that he should be a one-term president, he's running for a second term. I think I get what he means. I think he's not counting this term, because he's spent the whole time campaigning for a second term, that the second term will be his "real" term as president.
"For the last few years, the Republicans who run this Congress have insisted that we go right back to the policies that created this mess," Obama said, even though Democrats control the Senate.
If it's Congress that dictates policies that get us into these messes, then why doesn't Obama acknowledge that it was DEMOCRATS in Congress when the recession started? He contradicts himself. "For the last few years" Doesn't Obama realize that Republicans took back control of Congress only 16 months ago? That's less than a year and a half, and far less than "last few years".
Trickle up economics is a disaster.
