Ute Fan has been all over the fact that BYU did not have a player in this years draft...and some say its because they are not in a confrence? Wait a minute how is it possible that the mighty utes got 1 guy in (wow) and they are in the great and mighty pac 12? Good times.

Its one more player than your sorry program has had in the last two years. Go back to cougar board and start talking trash on Utah State, because they are more on your level now.

I am a BYU fan but also a fan of Tony Begrstram. My seats in LEs are a few rows behind the visiting team. Early in last years game when the score was close there were comments made from BYU fans to Ute players on the sidelines that even I thought were "over the line".

You could tell some of the Utes were more than just annoyed. Bergstram would just turn and smile at the fans like he was saying "really ?". In the 4th quarter when the beat down was going on Bergstram never once turned and smiled to the fans or "over celebrated". He just focused on the game. He is a class player. Congrats to him and congrats to Kyle Whittingham. Class behavior starts at the top.

Go Cougars

The Dolphins (my fave NFL Team) roster is loaded w/ Beehive connections but primarily Utes.

I always find it ironic when and LDS player goes to the Raiders but hopefully Bergstrom will have the same succes Todd Christensen had many years ago.

@bbjunkie - first one to post on this article and you make about another article. Would it kill you to say 'congratulations' to a very good player that happened to go to Utah? See the post above from Hatch as an example of class.

I'm happy for Tony but I was surprised that nobody else got picked up in the draft. I'm glad to hear a handful of guys have been signed since. I hope Walker and Martinez can land somewhere soon as well.

It is cool to see so many former Utes playing in the NFL - I love following their careers at the next level. Kyle has done a great job preparing players to get into the NFL. The Utes have come a long way over the past decade in getting guys to the next level.

I was also really happy to see a couple of Aggies get drafted too - coach Anderson has don a great job turning that program around. Hopefully this year he can teach his team to close out some games.

Go Utes!

Class? that's funny coming from ute fan. And lets get one thing straight, I am happy for Tony. However, when ute fan stops jumping all over cougar fan and their articles, I will be the first not to jump on theirs. Besides I am just stating the facts that ute fan is all over BYU and not having a player drafted, and they are not in a confrence... but the utes who are in the "greatest confrence/ BCS at that" only had 1 (but I guess in ute world thats enough to brag it up and try to talk trash against BYU who means nothing to them anymore...LOL). Ute Fan= Double Standard.

bballjunkie:

When Y fans spend the 2011 preseason through the days running up to the 2012 NFL Draft boasting of how the cougars will put more players into the NFL, and be drafted higher that the Utes....then see ZERO getting their names called, you're going to have to get used to seeing a lot of jeering from the fans of other schools.

The preseason is your best time of year. This is where you won all those August national championships and Heismans. September is where you showed the nation how mid-majorey you were. January is where you picked up all those 4- and 5-star recruits. February is where you showed the nation how mid-majorey you were. March is where your starters all got scooped up in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the Draft. April is where you showed the nation how mid-majorey you were.

I'm surprised a couple more guys didnt get signed as free agents..like Lei Talamaivao and Nai Fotu, those were defensive beasts when they played. maybe they sign later this week

First of all - congratulations to Tony, the epitome of class and talent. We wish you nothing but the best.

Second - LOVE that three more Utes sign with Miami! The real "U" is representing well in South Florida.

Third - thanks to Hatch. Glad to see that some byU fans who write on Ute stories actually do have intelligence and class.

Fourth - Star has been named the #1 prospect to the 2013 draft

Fifth - I find it hilarious that the first post was from a troller whose program: has had ZERO draft picks in the last two years; had only three undrafted free agent signings in 2012 (Utah had three with Miami alone!); has ZERO NFL pro bowlers in how many year?; and is irrelevant.

Go Utes!! The fUtUre is bright, the fUtUre is CRIMSON!!

Good luck to each of these guys. Hopefully things will work out well for them. I think Shelby will surprise some folks. I think he'll do well, if given the chance.

CO Ute, I wouldn't worry about certain fans showing clas; allow them to show their true colors and give em some rope, then they'll hang themselves.

,

Ducky predicted Hebron Fangupo was going to be the first one selected from either school, another one of his predictions out the window and just like last September he's gone MIA on the topic.

I wonder at what point it starts to catch up with Bronco that young men come to him as highly capable recruits then their skills are mismanaged.

Aggies have 3 plus,

to addieblue:

Congratulations to the Aggies for probably their biggest draft since Merlin Olsen. The problem with your big draft is all your talent is now gone, just like bsU to your north. Three running backs deep - gone, along with the running back coach. Hopefully Gary Anderson will fill in the blanks for you.

Sorry we will have to beat you badly at Romney this year. We will all be behind you when you whip the southies, if that's any consolation.

Go Utes!
