This is a wonderful article. I like all the great ideas. I was blessed to be part of a scout troop that did a fair amount of service. One of my favorite experiences growing up was when we fixed up the lawn of an elderly person in the neighborhood. There were lots of people and it was fun to hang out with them while helping someone else. Service, organized and unorganized, is wonderful.

I appreciate this excellent story. Volunteering is one of the finest ways to be of service to our community and the world. Children exposed to this philosophy will be honorable citizens for many years.

A family that indoctrinates together raises kids who will indoctrinate their families.

An indoctrination into service sounds like a better world for everyone.

How many members of this family serve their nation by enlisting for military service, Peach Corps service or similar?
