Why are all the Utes over on our boards and when there's a good story (as good of a story as the Utes can crank out), they don't comment.

Christopher hasn't really had any great seasons. He's a senior now and he'll probably only have about 50 catches.

Not a chance he plays in the NFL. Not even on a practice squad.

great coverage, Dirk. I hope Devonte has a solid year - he deserves it.

@Broom Hockey Champ,

Why are you here? To try to tear down a young man who is having a successful collegiate career?

Stay classy.

Glad DeVonte is on the team. His recieving numbers last season reflect more about how often the Utes ran the ball, particularly in the last 8 games, than his ability to catch the ball. But don't worry KH, I trust Whit's expertise on NFL talent more than some broomster from Alpine.

Good luck DeVonte!

I think DeVonte certainly has the hands, the IQ and athletic abilities to continue playing, but if he doesn't adopt a senior leadership by example role this year, he's not likely to join the likes of Kevin Dyson, Steve Smith and David Reed. He needs to be consistent in every game, instead of having a couple great games like at USC, UA and WSU while the rest of the season didn't show a lot of effort. Also, if a team takes as many cheap shots on him as BYU did this year, I'd like to see him battle back instead of back down like he did in that game.

At what point did DVC back down in the BYU game, StGtoSLC? He got hammered over and over and just kept popping back up. Maybe didn't do much in the 2nd half of that game, but it was all John White at that point as the Utes lit up the scoreboard.

The Utes will have a strong receiving corps next year and with Brian Johnson running the offense, I expect to see DeVonte to play a huge role in the passing game.

Here's to a great senior season DeVonte! I hope it's a great one.

Thlete, that's my point, is that he didn't do much after getting hammered. In a case like that, I'd like to see him hammer somebody back and show a little more demand to make up for the missed connections. Am I wrong to say that against probably either the second or third worst secondary Utah played last year at BYU, D Chris should have had more than 3 catches?
