Baseball is a game that most people watch because they are not able to participate in it as well as the "professionals". It's sad that most people leave all duties to "professionals" rather than rolling up their sleeves and "participating".
I rarely sports unless a family member is participating. I don't participate in vicarious activities that let me sit on a couch and let someone else do what I should be doing.
Life is not a spectator sport. If we want to make a difference, we need to participate. There is no reason that we, no matter our ability or our age, cannot "toss the ball" to someone who has less experience than we do.
Instead of sitting in the stands, we need to be on the field. Each of us is important. God gave us life. We need to use that great gift to make a difference.
