Let’s be honest since Obama isn’t, at least on this issue. This is NOT the keystone pipeline and it does NOT require his approval. This has already been approved of by the states involved and here Obama shows up crowing like he put it together! He reminds us of the arrogant rooster who thinks his crowing every morning causes the sun to come up!
Is this considered a flip flop?
The title of this article is misleading, it implies that President Obama has changed his mind on the Keystone pipeline he rejected earlier this year. This is a southern portion of that pipeline, it does NOT need his approval (that is why it's going through). He isn't fast-tracking anything.
As far as not having enough time on the actual Keystone pipeline, the approval process has now gone on longer than World War II. How much time does he think he needs? He just wanted to wait until after the election so that he could convince environmentalists he would reject it and convince unions he would approve it.
I think the first three posters (only 3 posters at this point) said what I was thinking. I just want to know if this administration thinks we are so stupid that we don’t know the truth. This was in the works and had nothing to do with the President, but what good is a pipeline that leaves over 1,000 miles with no way to get the crude to this southern route? We are smarter than you think!
Fast track my foot. It's nothing more than a PR stunt. Does he really think we don't know what is going on?
I guess now that it is on fast track he will have to go ahead without the delay of a bidding process. Only Bechtel and Halliburton can do this size of a project on a cost plus basis. I'm sure BO will be thrilled about one of those companies.
The President is so far from reality with his superficial czars, consultants, special assistants, advisers, and his wife that he doesn’t ever get the real story. This goes to show that when we hear him talk down to us as if he is the only knowing person on earth, it is a reality check that we don’t need him another term. Santorum said that he'd rather see President Obama reelected than send Romney to the White House” shows that Santorum is already in the same reality as Obama. That shows the true character that Santorum is. He is far from a conservative and this gives the evangelical right people another show of conservatism. Santorum has had a lot of stress placed on him by the evangelicals to perform and to strike at his own party candidates in this matter shows he doesn’t have much of an organization behind him. The President’s spinning the pipeline story for his gain is like Santorum spinning a story that doesn’t exist, either.
