While I understand the urgent need to promote City Creek to ensure its success and continuing vitality, the News being a general circulation newspaper for the public interest needs to be careful about conflict of interest and free advertising promotions. Not one article that reveals the possible darker side of City Creek was included in this wonderful spread of articles. Hopefully the Deseret News will be able to continue the delicate balance between news media reporting and editorializing on the same page.
It's a ton of dough to spend to make a point that malls can close sunday. And the private sector just isn't funding these anymore. I know no one gets to look at the financials, at least publicly, but I wonder if this project will make money long term.
