Congratulations John and I know exactly where you're coming from. I'm a female fan of Brooks Brothers and have shopped their stores in London, Edinburgh and Seattle for years, but my move to Salt Lake City caused me great concern when I found there was no Brooks Brothers in the area. You cannot belive how ecstatic I am at knowing it is coming to town and I will no longer have to rely on mail order. I have no doubt that Brooks Brothers will be successful in Utah.
"There was no Brooks Brothers in his hometown. When he moved back to Salt Lake in 2005 .... he felt like he was abandoning an old friend."
Shoot! If I'd only known John felt was feeling so down I would have happily informed him of the Brooks Brothers store in the factory outlet mall on the way to Park City. He would have found all sorts of great stuff there and it would probably have cost less than what he'd become used to. Though, from the sound of it, I'd say he's secure enough financially that he probably doesn't worry too much about the cost.
John, I hope you enjoy your new job. If you lover your job, you will never work a day in your life.
What a great story. And I hope that it brings you joy and fulfillment, John. You deserve it and much more. All the best in life. Bill Lawrence ' Brighton '74
