Thomas Sowell's gift is his ability to cut through the static and reveal the essential.
"Make no mistake about it, the black students who go to school to get an education are the main victims of the classroom disrupters whom Duncan and Holder are trying to protect....
"Whether the current generation of black students gets a decent education is infinitely more important than whether the current generation of Democratic politicians hangs on to its jobs."
What we really need is public policy that is blind to the color of anyone's skin. The current administration perpetuates racial inequality, because it is in their interest to do so.
Statistical information is invaluable. Its also so easily twisted. Its too bad that those who conduct statistical studies are not held to the same ethical guidelines as doctors. As we spend so much capital on the basis of these studies.
