4A MVP should be "The Most Valuable Player" to the team!
With 3 other players from Orem on the all state list, tells me that if Zac
did not play his team would still win a lot of games. Parker of East high
    is the MVP of 4A

I'm not sure I understand how this works amongst the coaches. The third team is comprised of all guards--no forwards or centers. And, sorry, if your team lost in the first round or didn't even make the tournament, how good could you possibly have been? It sure seems like there are a surplus of undeserving Region 5 and Region 8 players on the teams, while more deserving players from 6 and 7 were relegated to the "honorable mention" section or left out entirely. Guess we know which regions' coaches were on the ball!

re: maybe it was like the bad way the paper did it with the football voting this year...and yes based it on votes which is good....but you could only vote on the kids your HS coach turned in. So not all the best players in football made it because they were never on the ballot to get voted on. Maybe THS was the one coach who didnt vote or turn in names.

How can a kid be All State but not All Region? The paper needs to do it like other states and make the All Region teams voted upon by coaches in thier region. Those coaches know the best players as they prepare for them every week. Then take those kids and vote All State teams. But then again that would make too much sense.

    Congrats to all the kids.

It's a shame that an outstanding player from Utah County received very little recognition for his accomplishments on the court this year. Cameron Bailey from THS is an amazing player!
