My late Father graduated from Montebello High School class of '39. About one-third of the student body were nisei , first generation Japanese-Americans. I never got an answer from him about how he felt about his classmates being interned in concentration camps during the war. Even more so the dicotomy over their cousins in the Imperial Japense Navy trying to kill hime in the Aleutians and later in the Solomons
