I am so happy for Lin! Proving all the doubters, haters, and those who are ignorant and jealous of his good fortunate and God given talent! I hope God uses him in a mighty way! People will ask, how could he be that good? The question I would ask is, what is wrong with him being a really good basketball player? I don't care what race or color you are, male or female, if you can do the job and do it way better than most people can, you are my person who I want doing the job!

To me, it is still amazing that he is doing so well in spite of the tremendous attention(media as well as opposing D) he gets every time he steps on the court now. That bodes well for the kid.
His true worth will be known if the knicks make the playoffs. Can be be just as successful there? Many nba stars(black and white!) have wilted under the postseason pressure. If Lin overcomes it, the sky will be the limit for him..
I see lot of people comparing him to Nash. I feel he is more like Stockton...rather Stockton with quite a bit more athletic ability...ie in the vertical direction. I say this because Link is not flashy like Nash....and controls the game with basics like stock except he can dunk also! :)

I love when individuals shatter stereotypes. It gives me hope in the human race. We categorize people (and ourselves!) everyday.

I love what's happened to Lin. It's an American success story.

However, I hate how the media labels ethnic groups as Taiwanese-American, Mexican-American, Irish American and so forth. We are Americans first, who just happen to be descendants of people who came from other countries. We need to drop the use of hyphenated labels. All it does is separate us from one another.
