What a good game that was and even better game last night with Cedar. Any of the four in region 9 could have won state. Congrats to all the boys that played with heart and good conduct.

Hats off to all of Region 9! Especially Coach Cardon who was willing to teach life skills to his team. What a year for parity! Congrats to Hurricane for pulling it out and showing how important it is to play to win.

Can't wait for next year. Hopefully, much of that talent in the south will move on.

Wow! Football, and now Basketball for the Hurricane boys. Can they play baseball too? Congrats, things are going good down south this year.

Re:yankees27--Hurricane winning the 3A baseball title would be a true miracle if that happened. Save your money though, don't take that bet.

Manny- ya, I was mostly kidding. I think the title goes through Spanish Fork this year, and for the foreseeable future. Still, quite an accomplishment to win FB and BB

R9 peeps- On the subject of baseball, who does look the best in R9 this year? SC? DH? who is gonna give Spanish a run this year?

It will be SC or Canyon View will be most likely to be on top this year in region 9. There is a lot of new things going on in 3A this year with all the schools moving around. We all know SF is the team to beat in Baseball. It will be fun to see how it all plays out but you will not see Hurricane baseball doing anything because they will be taking state in track like every year.

Region 9 will be different next year. Hurr, Desert Hills, Dixie, Cedar and SC were all pretty heavy in seniors. Pine View and Canyon View were young and could be in play for bb next year. Then again it could very well a 3 or 4 team run again. It was great basketball, the three that didn't make the playoffs were competative in most games.

I just saw a tweet from a DH student that said "We may have lost, but your parents work for our parents." How lame is that? With all the good sportsmanship among the players and MOST of the fans, why say something like that. I have nothng but respect for DH players and coaches. It was just a case of who executed down the stretch. Could have gone either way. Great job region 9!

Wow! Congratulations to a group of boys that worked so hard for so many years to make their dream come true. Congratulations to the coaches for earning trust in such a short time and pulling everyone together. This is a special group. Also congratulations Region 9 ball players and coaches. You were all awesome. Sad to see it end.
