While there may be a small but vocal group that is displeased with the coaching this year, that doesn't represent the majority. The situation when Boylen left was terrible and the team wasn't going to do anything this year especially when the leading scorer had checked out and had to be released. Much better talent next year. Realistic goal would be to win 10 to 15 games and continue to build for the future. This year was damage control, next year is when to begin evaluating the coaching staff.

Must not be a very vocal minority. I've never heard any complaints about the coaching staff. I don't think the Cougar trolls are calling for Coach K to be replaced. Those who watch the games are quite impressed with the effort the team is giving at this stage in the season. It's tough to read "effort" from the box score. Coach K recognizes this team isn't going to be an offensive powerhouse, so he's had them focus on defense. Those efforts will come in handy next year as offensive talent joins the team.

I agree that this season has to be counted as a mulligan for Coach Krys and his staff. He seems to have recruited well so far and the guy is a proven winner. If Ute fans will stick with him and allow this program a couple of seasons to pick up steam, I believe he will produce results. U of U basketball seems to do better with less meddling and less responding to impatient fans.
