So . . . who was supposed to be guarding J.J. Barea?

Tonight was the final straw for me. I hope the 6 days off from Jazz games over the all star break can aid me in getting sober of the Jazz. I need not waste my time.

It's not necessarily a lack of effort from the Jazz that has me fed up. I see effort for the most part. The team is young with talent and developing as well. My problem is that the Jazz have shooting guards who can't shoot. Until this gets fixed (if it ever does), I am hopefully done watching.

Since Hornacek retired, the Jazz haven't put in a shooter. It's amazing the Jazz get the production they do in the paint when they go inside out with no outside shooting.

Since Hornacek left the Jazz have had Ronnie Brewer, C.J. Miles, Gordon Hayward, and Alec Burks who are all the same player (all around athletes who can't shoot).

They also has Korver who could shoot but do nothing else. They had Wes Matthews who could do it all and the Jazz let him go. Matching Portland was somewhat unrealistic, but word has it that Matthews was looking to sign for $3.6 million a year and the Jazz decided to let him test the market. Can you say HUGE mistake? Matthews signed an offer sheet with the Blazers for two and a half times that. At that point, the Jazz lost the shooting guard they needed for the future.

It looks like Corbin has started a trend, less and less time for Favors and Kanter. Get it through your thick skull Ty, they are the future of this team, they need more minutes not less. The Jazz defense came unglued as soon as they were taken out in the 4th quarter.

COACH CORBIN THIS TEAM CAN NOT SHOOT BEYOND 15 FEET! So just what do they practice during practice? Obviously not shooting while being checked, foul shots, or the three. Teams know that all they have to do is pack the paint and force the Jazz outside and wala a miracle comeback from down 20,or 10. The guy to get rid of is Coach Horny or make do his job. It's hard to believe that professionally team does not have any shooters. It's also funny that the center is the best outside shooter.

This team makes me sick. They keep coming up with new and more frustrating ways to lose.

Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Oh, and will this team ever, Ever, EVER learn to guard the 3 point line????

I should have known you would all ignore the obvious.....Not guarding 3s....I was on Des NEws Chat all night...Many of you should join me. Brandon Brown and I discussed Corbin and his errors. Too many to name. Letting this team tense up and noticably get nervous when Minnesota was making a huge run in the 4th. No time outs. Poor strategy fouling when even Jerry would have trusted the D to get a stop and with :03 we have a chance at outright win. Even though it lucked out Rubio made just one of 2 FT. Still AJ shot only tied it and Ridenour abused Gordon. This is a crushing crushing loss and typical of a team cannot close out games. We should have been up 20 at HT. You knew Minnesota would not shoot 20 percent in the 2nd Half. We missed Free Throws and turned the ball over to contribute to this. Again it comes back to the same ol thing. Not GUARDING 3s. Miles again could not match his mouth

Ha ha ha.

You have to laugh or cry the way the Jazz have played lately. They have had some tough losses. All of the games have a trend though... Guards are ripping the Jazz apart. whether off the bench (Barea) or the starter (Parker) it's killing the Jazz every game.

I know CJ will come on here (the post CJ) and say how we are picking on just him. I am not. AJ missed shots turned the ball over. We could not consistently make Free Throws. Harris as usual did little after the 1st Quarter. We cannot trade until the Summer. There is no point to do that. However, AJ and Paul cannot play together. Paul has to do what is best for the team and be a 6th man. We need Kanter or Favors in the lineup. We are too small up front and it kills us when Pekovic and Love grab the boards. To be honest we were lucky to not lose this moments earlier as Minnesota missed the 3 from the open corner. Adelman showed again they have belief in Minnesota and Corbin simply is not a very good Coach. Something I knew all along

We can't win, at home, with the old guys. Play the youngsters and get them the experience their future demands.

i think the coaching staff in general...is lacking a lot...we need a better shooting coach...i think Hayward's added beef made his shot off...i dont know...it seems Jeff Hornacek put a curse on the wing positions so that no one would ever be as good...i think Favors and Kanter should at least play 20 mins...let Millsap and Al Jefferson play for 30 a game and not a minute more...its a compressed season...and you need all the rest you can get....i still think Devin Harris should go...and i hope Al Jefferson comes with him...i dont really care about the stats...i just want to see this team win...and i can see that if Favors is starting...and Kanter getting beefed up minutes to help him improve faster....we need a new coach...a new shooting coach...a defensive coach and a big man coach...i say hire the shooting coach of steve kerr when he was in chicago...when will monty williams get out of his contract in NO? i think he will be a better coach than corbin

Poor effort in the fourth quarter.

Coach Corbin,
Don't let Harris finish any games.
Play Jefferson with Favors, Kanter with Milsap. NOT Milsap with Jefferson.
Give Burks more time.
Get Hayward mad prior to every game. He plays better when he is ticked.
Sit CJ permanently.

Go after a trade for a real, starting point guard.

Since this team now has a losing record, it is time to face the facts:

Fact: Harris is not producing consistently.
Fact: Hayward is not producing consistently.
Fact: Bell is not producing consistently.
Fact: Watson cannot hit a field goal.
Fact: No scoring option exists when Millsap or Big Al are double, triple, or quadruple teamed.
Fact: No perimeter or 3pt defense exists.

This team needs to be blown up and trades need to be made. The washed up "veterans" need to be shown the door.
Burks, Kanter, Favors, and Evans need much more time.

I'm not holding my breath that anything will change or that the team will even make the playoffs.

gdog3finally.. Matthews was way over priced and is already loosing minutes in Portland to a much better shooting Crawford. In fact lost his starting job on several occasions. Wes is no better for the Jazz than anyone else in this offense. I agree with everyone.. We all can see that Millsap and Jefferson need to be split up for us to get anything out of Sap. I'm afraid that I will not watch this team if they stop playing the kids. I can take the loosing, if we are rebuilding, but I'm not going to watch another Utah coach waste young talent. (Something I thought Jerry was famous for) If you remember Deron's first game in Utah. He scored about thirty, including a half court shot. Jerry then let him ride the pine for one half of the year, until Miller had a meeting with him.

If there is going to be a trade, please trade all the wing players for some outside shooters.

I guess Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer really were that good...

Up 15 with about 8 minutes left. That was a choke job. Love and Rubio did not even have good games.

The Jazz are who we thought they were. But I don't think that is bad. We know it is a rebuilding year.

I think they still need to play Jefferson and Harris and hope they have a good stretch, and then we can get a taker for a trade hopefully. I think Millsap, Harris, Jefferson, our upcoming draft picks and trade exception means the Jazz may be able to make some moves. As much as I love Millsap, he is not ever going to be that guy that will take the team on his shoulders night in and night out. Although I am no longer a Williams fan, with D Will the Jazz win that game last night. The Jazz need that guy that they can go to in the clutch.

Still a fun season, the Jazz are semi competitive as they re-build. I am interested to see their roster a year from now, and see if they add any shooters, who they draft, and if they make any trades. This all-star break will hopefully provide some needed rest and re-focus.

I got the feeling that, even if the Jazz would have been leading by 15 with four minutes left, they would have blown this. The look of fear and falling apart on their faces was so evident once the 3's started falling. This is a team that has no one to go to down the stretch so they toss it in to Big Al and he tries to do his "nobody else move as I dribble toward the basket" style of offense that didn't seem to work last year either. These are hard working players and great guys who lose their guts, heart, and swagger when they are forced to sleep in strange beds. They are also abysmal from the outside and every team in the league is well aware of that fact.
