"Israel gave preliminary approval on Wednesday to a plan to build 600 new homes in a settlement deep inside the West Bank"
Why doesn't Obama just put his foot down and told Benjamin Netanyahu to scrap that idea? Oh yeah, now I remember. He already did and Netanyahu had to remind him that Israel is the only friend we have in that area.
Why should Isreal have to get permission from Hezbola each time they want to build something on their own land... just because the Palestinians WANT that land and think they will get it some day in the future???
That makes about as much sense as the United States having to get permission from Mexico before they build anything in Arizona or California because Mexico doesn't like it and still thinks that land is theirs or may be theirs some day.
It is difficult to come to reasonable agreements when peoples religious beliefs over holy lands cloud the discussion.
Until these people decide that it is better to compromise and live in peace nothing will change.
More conflict in the name of religion.
If there is a God, I think he/she would shout "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!"
The US needs to get new friends.
