Somehow this is beginning to feel like Iraq all over again. They didn't cooperate on the WMD search then, and now Iran is doing the same. If there is an attack, I hope we get partners from around the world to join in, like the first Gulf War. And I hope we do it from the air, no boots on the ground this time. I can't imagine Obama would do an attack anyway, but then there is talk of helping out the Syrian rebels so who knows what this administration is capable of.
There are two key differences between Iraq and Iran: 1) Israeli intelligence suggests nuclear capability in Iran, and 2) Israel isn't going to sit through 10 years of UN resolutions before attacking Iran.
The Obama Administration has been trying to diffuse the developments in Iran (this is not a judgement) and hoping economic sanctions are going to bring Iran to our table. The next decision by the Obama Administration may be the big decision that defines this administration.
