Remember when the anti Bush crowd hollered to high heaven that Bush was taking care of his oil buddies when gas prices went up during the Bush Presidency. Where are they now? Fact is this is Obmama's failed policies showing up.

Because I truly believe that overall Obama economic policies will destroy the country if continued, I hope the gas prices are about $10 dollars a gallon on November 6th of this year. If a 16 trillion dollar debt (and likely to rise into the 20's with four more years of Obama), doesn't get the peoples attention, maybe prices at the gas pump will.

Thank Obama for shutting down Keystone.

As long as this Iran mess continues prices will climb. Expect $5/gal this summer.

Here is the problem I have with pieces like this where they say something is at it "highest ever" price. You know what, since inflation is a constant, something will always be at its highest price ever.

But here is the other side of the coin. I started driving way back in 1978 when gas was so cheap. I remember exactly what it cost... it was .97 cents a gallon. It had just dipped back under a dollar when I started driving. Now here comes the fun part. If you take a what 97 cents was worth in 1978 and calculate what that 97 cents would be worth now... the number you come up using the CPI is $3.37. So the effective price for gas is the nearly the same as it was back when I first started driving over 30 years ago.

Now I agree that gas at $4.25 would be a hard hit for poor Americans with little extra money. But lets be at least lets be honest about the real cost. Everything will always be at its highest price ever.. enough funniness with words.

Bob, there never was a Keystone plane approved by the states it crossed, so there was no plan that was killed. You have to have something to cancel to be able to cancel it.

But lets go ahead and ignore little details like that there never was an approved plan, if it makes for a good political sound bite.
