As I listen to this lady, she convinces me, her words are touching my heart. I want to help her and her cause.
It is the right thing to do. She is to be commended for her work.
Will no one stand up for enforcement of our laws?
There is already a very good path to citizenship, it simply requires obeying the law. Millions of people do it, and we should not insult them by rewarding those who choose to break our laws with any type of amnesty program. Not now, not ever.
"... she knows the agony of living in fear of losing her family as a result of immigration laws."
That is very poorly written, not to mention very misleading! It should read, "She knows the agony of living in fear of losing her family as a consequence of breaking well-established immigration laws and coming into this country illegally."
I fully agree with DN Subscriber.
How can we selectively use the word "illegal"? Do we not know what it means? "Illegal" is defined as "Contrary to or forbidden by law, esp. criminal law: illegal aliens".
Anyone who advocates the continuation of illegal activities--in any form, by any people--is NOT to be commended in any way, shape, or form.
QUESTION: What is the difference between the "Mountain Man" breaking into homes and illegal aliens breaking into our country?
Since one-third of the costs of higher education are covered by the taxpayers, Congress has the guts to consider forking out hundreds of millions of dollars every year educating our illegals.
It is starting to look more economical to deport all illegals, and encourage them to knock on the front door if they choose to return.
No more amnesty for illegal immigrants. We have tried amnesty before, it didn't work. Amnesty only encouraged more people to enter the USA illegally. Enforce our current immigration law and deport all illegal immigrants. Send them home. Vote out any politician who fails to push for deportation of all illegal immigrants.
