Funny how 4 straight losing seasons gets one saying how much better it is to be
only slightly below 500 with a 13-15 record. Reid has earned respect so that
isn't the question. Neither is the fact that you and I and others may like him.
He has been a good coach over his career but it just hasn't worked at SUU. The
program needs a change going into Big Sky.
Maybe your right and maybe your not but I know a few of the playaers and they
like Coach Reid. Our team has never been that good. Before Reid and when the
time comes after Reid. It's always the players that lose games but I know for a
fact I'm not the only one that respects him. In case you haven't noticed this
season is way better then ALL season's past.
Coaches inspire players so easy on the players, especially seniors who have had
to endure years trying to learn the fifty plus plays and multiple flash cards on
each possession. It totally stifles athleticism and opportunities as they try
to slow down and read a flash card. Next year needs to bring a new coach and
new excitement. Maybe high school stars will want to come to SUU again but it
will only happen with a change in coaching.
Sorry to say it but I think the players have given up this season. No matter
what happens to Reid I hope the players can get a good mind set next year.
Jones will be gone and that's gonna hurt us but I believe the returning players
can step up and take thre role of leader. Good luck the rest of the way and
next year boys.
