This is ESPN's way of pretending to be interested in small teams. When it comes
time for selection Sunday, the committee will take a 16-14 West Virginia as a
seven seed and keep a 27-3 "small" team at home, and Clark Kellog will
do his best to justify why. ESPN has ruined sports now that they have declared
themselves the kingmakers. In football, you have to kiss the ring of Kirk
Herbstreet, Mark May, et al. Used to be fun watching selection Sunday, now you
have to keep a bucket close by in case you lose your cookies while watching a
jubilant ESPN crew announcing an under .500 conference record "big"
team into the tournament.Still, should be a very intriguing matchup.
Here's hoping the Wildcats can close out a perfect regular season at home. GO
