Glad to see BYU fans filling the other teams gyms. Few teams can do that on any scale, let alone everywhere they play.
Tough 3 game road trip coming up. Should not be too difficult tonight or Saturday. They big game without looking ahead is next Thursday against Gonzaga. Good Basketball left to watch and enjoy.
Go Cougars.
verbal abused on Davies and Hartstud? It might to some bench players.
I wish I could be home again and walk over the Golden Gate Bridge again. I guess they are not coming home after this SF game where Santa Clara are not far from there.
Go Cougars. Glad to see BYU fans fill the stands. Wish I could be there too.
Am I the only one that thinks that $35 for a ticket for BYU vs a normal $15 ticket for everyone else is a bit of taking advantage of BYU fans? If another team came that drew fans would they do the same? I hope so. I guess it is supply and demand and business (and they are not stupid) but I do not think BYU charges more for games that draw more fans than normal. Or less for smaller teams. OK scalpers may adjust but not BYU.
Love to see more BYU fans than local fans. Says a lot. All home games in California. Guessing the Zags will have more than BYU at that Game.
Again let's get 3 wins. I will be watching from AZ.
I am one who believes you get what you pay for...$35.00 to see a great team and a great game is worth it...$1500.00 to see the Super Bowl was worth it to me and finally $1.25 for a ticket to a Ute Basketball game is well, almost worth it.
Can you imagine how many BYU fans would be filling these gyms in a year with an icon like Jimmer on the team, or if BYU were a Top 10 team? That year will return and is just around the corner.
With so many Freshman (Carlino, Harrioson, Winder, Austin) making a major impact; BYU will be back as a Top 10 team in a year or two.
I'm betting that many of the WCC teams will begin to look at other venues to host the Cougars, when they come to town since the Cougs are filling their small gyms. AZ Blue and Red said it - it's all about supply and demand. WCC overall attendance is pretty close to PAC12 attendance this year, in spite of gym size. Better to have a sold out small gym than a large empty one.
St Mary's loss to LMU last night really shakes things up in the WCC. It also validates how good LMU is. LMU and San Francisco will likely get NIT bids.
WCC will have more teams in the NCAA and the NIT than the PAC12.
Go Cougs!
@ AZ Blue & Red
"Guessing the Zags will have more than BYU at that Game."
The Zags routinely sell out The Kennel with their own rabid fans. Scalped tickets are expensive there, and lots of season ticket holders. I'm expecting a fairly small BYU contingent at the Gonzaga game. I'd love to be proven wrong though!
Goooo Cougars!

What a laughable comment jimmer an icon? icon for who cougie fans? He is the most overrated basketball player possibly ever. The guy is an average shooter at best and brings nothing else to the table. Now that the kings wasted a pick it truly shows what he was about. Rose just allowed him to put up 40 shots a game to score 25 when you added in the bonus FT's the mt. west refs gave him. Yes he hit fire and didnt miss from time to time but most nights was barley average to below average shooting. Alot of college players would hit fire time to time if they could shoot it 20 - 30 times every game.
Lastly top 10 team?? Since when were they a top 10 team?

Still fighting off the Jimmer-era? Envy does strange things, ute trolls should get over it.

Don't forget the CBI & CIT while you are at it.
Who cares? The WCC could get every team into the NCAA. If teams don't win it means absolutely nothing in post season play. All it shows is the mistake that the selection committee makes and will watch out the next time around.
So what if the PAC12 is having a down season. BYU honks still can't get over the fact that UTAH belongs to a BCS conference. The conference of champions as a matter of FACT. Look it up. More NCAA titles in all sports that every other conference. I
@2BCSWINS
I wouldn't expect a Ute fan to rememebr that BYU was ranked in the top 10 last season from weeks 9 through 18 and got as high as #3 in week 16. Enjoy your 2 BCS wins, they are all Utah fans will have to enjoy for some time.
2clueless
only a clueless BYU-hater wouldn't consider Jimmer an icon.
2bcswinsandNOTHINGelse
Jimmer was the CONCENSUS National Player of the Year in 2010-11 and was the leading scorer in the regular season at 28.5 ppg AND in the NCAA tournament at 32.7 ppg.
A comparison of Jimmer with a couple of other 1st round NBA picks
Player (rank) ppg FG% 3PT% FT%
Jimmer(1)--28.5 45.6% 40.4% 89.1%
Kemba(4)---23.5 43.2% 33.9% 80.5%
Burks(23)--20.1 45.6% 28.2% 82.3%
Next time, try doing a little research before spouting off.
Just like Pete Maravich, whatever success Jimmer has in the NBA is completely irrelevant to his history as a college basketball icon.

Having wistful thoughts about the Utes returning to the CBI someday???
It doesn't matter whether Utah is in the MWC, WCC or PAC 12, the Utes would be a bottom dweller in every one of those conferences.

Outside of Notre Dame independence is irrelevant.

The reason you don't care about the CBI is because you actually have to have a winning record to get there.
beeeeep! sorry No Conference, wrong sport; but trust a utey to do everything possible to avoid talking about that trainwreck on the hill.
