Already this is much better than what BYU had in the MWC. Deuce, you really have no clue about BYU and football scheduling, do you? Watch and learn. Watch and learn then think before you write.
Kinda funny how Utah fans latch onto the "opportunity" to play for a conference championship each year as something critically important. Given that the Utes only have three outright conference championships and three shared in the last 50 YEARS, it appears that the Utes might as well be independent too.
17-14 Hurts (aka sammyg),
2010: 17-16
2011: 54-10
2012: ???
Too easy
Playing the utes is a waste of time. Playing Colorado would be better competitive.
Another unbearable schedule for the boys in Blue.
LOL
@AK Cougar
How can you possibly say you hope that BYU doesn't play Utah anymore? You're crazy, man. If you lived in Utah you would understand that this is the biggest game of the year around these parts. A season with The Holy War just would feel incomplete. That would be a sad day...hopefully it will never come.
I wish everyone would have just stayed in the MWC. The MWC would have gotten the Big East's BCS bid next year anyway with Utah, BYU, TCU, and Boise State. Conference Realignment sucks. It's all Utah's fault!!! They abandoned ship first!
Dang...what has become of the college football I once knew?!

214 words. Again a troll on a BYU article gets to go over the 200 word limit....
Why is that again?!
54-10
Where did your team end up in the polls this past season? I looked and I looked but I couldn't find them anywhere....
Wow.
ute fans still can't help themselves.
You'd think that with such a successful season, ute fans would just move on and be happy that they were PAC 12 champions...
oh wait... Sorry. Forgot that didn't happen.
Well you always have this next year, with your amazing QB...
Oh wait... sorry, forgot he was made of glass.
Oh well, at least you had a great season and finished in the top 25...
Oh sorry, that was a different Utah School.
Oh Well, there is always basketball...
Sorry... I'm just making this worse, aren't I.
Oh well at least you beat BYU. (Although you think they are irrelevant)
There, now don't you feel better?

"214 words. Again a troll on a BYU article gets to go over the 200 word limit....

So, does that mean that the Band of Lil Brothers Owns the DN?
Nobody else can read the articles or comment?
Sooooo, byu!
That is why I hope the Utes never play byu again! Its your sanctimonious attitude that cause everyone to dislike the y.
Good Luck with your Pop Warner schedule. Fire Holmoe and improve your program.
2013 Band of Lil Brothers GONE!
Donât assume it will be an every year occurrence in the future for BYU to be playing Utah, Kyle and his team have better things to do in September, such as playing a true home and home against a Big Ten opponentâ¦a real research and higher/advanced degree awarding school rather than the oversized Mormon social school down in Happy Valley. Why the LDS Church continues to allow them to field football in athletics is beyond me particularly since past church president Joseph F. Smith ordered it ceased back in 1902â¦perhaps something the powers that be at 47 East South Temple should revisit?
If the LDS Church really did the right thing with BYU they would pair Provo down to under 20,000 students, and take over the Southern Virginia campus back in Buena Vista, VA allowing a similar Rexburg sized student body there. This way the church schools can be focused on what they should be; undergraduate education. Advanced degrees (MS/MA and beyond) should be the domain of more secularly oriented universities. Utah State should have the football program, Law & Business schools, not BYU.
Deuce you show your severe lack of knowledge in scheduling by your comments.
There are some leagues which enforce the rule that once you start conference play there are no non conference games on your schedule. It will take a few years to develop the schedule. Also your ignorance shows via your commenting on weaker teams on the Y's schedule. You apparently do not follow the SEC and other conferences who try to do the same thing.
If you are going to comment, at least comment based on actual knowledge, not out of hate for BYU.
Excellent work Bro. Holmoe!
An undefeated season is easily within reach.
With the November schedule, it's like having 2 months off before the National Championship Game.
Perfect.

No, his point was obviously that the rules for comments should be equally applied. Did you fail to comprehend that...?

Or ... In Stitches was silly enough to suggest that the rules for comments, namely, "Any comments found to be abusive, offensive, off-topic, misrepresentative, more than 200 words, containing URLs or excessive capital letters will not be posted" be equally applied.
This is why it is so important to teach reading comprehension in schools.
Sportsfan,
Since when did Utah schedule that Mormon social school in Happy Valley? UVU doesn't even have a football team but you can bet their basketball team would embarrass your utes.

Good point. Completely eliminating any potential competition from BYU might allow you to do better than them. Have fun fantasizing about that!

I think Katiebugg meant this comment for UtahBy44.
" No, his point was obviously that the rules for comments should be equally applied. Did you fail to comprehend that...? "
I could care less how many words are in anyone's post. I do find it interesting how Katiebugg can't seem to read but wants to post comprehension smack.
hahahah all you byu fans can NOT read. how bout you get with the times and UPDATE your dn site which gives you MORE than 200 words. anyone with half a brain coulda figured that one out... but then again you are y fans so i expect nothing less from you
