I'm so anti-advertising, I've boycotted Valentine's Day for years, and asked my super-romantic husband to pass on it, too. I don't want forced candy, flowers or cards. I don't even want a cruise or dinner out. My husband shows his love every day of our married life just by showing up at home after work, and trusting me with his paycheck and children. This will be our 33rd Valentine's Day, and I love him more each year. If I'd thought about it sooner, we could have put what we would have spent on these invented-by-Hallmark holidays into a fund for our children's college expenses. Now, that's LOVE!
