Let's hope the feds don't take any of these studies and try to regulate with them.
Glad to see the dynamics are changing. I'm so tired of people bashing home schoolers with old, outdated stereotypes. E-learning (K12.com) and Skype are making for incredible learning opportunities for kids that public schools cannot provide. Socialization argument? There are so many more places (better places) for kids to get better, more positive socialization. Home schoolers are becoming better educated than their public school counterparts with highly educated parents teaching them. Lots of neighborhoods have home school groups so it takes burdens of one individual parent and shares lessons, encourages field trips, socialization and such. Home schooling is the next best thing to private schools.
