It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win, right?
Nice fan support. The Chiles Center was about 75% BYU fans. BYU probably had more fans show up at an away game (in a small gym)than Utes get for a home game.
Portland fought hard, but BYU is learning how to win without the 3-pointer. Valuable experience for BYU's Freshmen.
They'll finish the Season/Tournament with 25 wins and a # 13 seed in the Big Dance!
The highest seed you will ever see an 'at large' team get is a 12. Lunardi has them as an 11 seed today. A road win over Gonzaga or beating Gonzaga in the WCC semis will get BYU in. If they lose both of those games, they might be on the outside looking in.
