Well, Mississippi consistently ranks among the states with the highest rates of obesity. If they have so few fast-food joints to serve so many big eaters, people aren't getting obese on Big Macs, Burrito Supremes, or KFC drumsticks.

That good old down-home cookin' must be REALLY good!

I can't express how frustrating it is to find myself between American Fork and Pleasant Grove, and wonder if I have enough gas to go 1.75 miles in either direction to find a McDonalds, Arbys, Wendy's, Subway, or Panda Express. And, imagine the panic if I'm in the wrong town and realize I'll have to drive probably over 3 miles if I want to eat at the other town that has the lone Burger King, Purple Turtle, KFC, A&W, JCW's, Taco Amigo, In 'N Out, or Taco Bell.

And they call this the land of freedom - c'mon.

That's good news. Obviously Utahns don't eat as much junk food as other states.
