Glad he had a change of heart. 2015 will be here before we know it. That is if it's not all over in Dec. 2012.

A 10.6.

Do you realized how fast that is for a High School athlete?

Wow.

Track is just around the corner. 10.6 ?? We will see.

10.6 is pretty good! Just to give you some perspective on how good that is, DeAnthony Thomas up at Oregon (another one of my favorite players to watch) runs a 10.4. Not sure what that translates to in a 40, but at least we know he has the athletic ability to play WR. I would love to see this guy return kicks!

Good ! This approach is much better then the road of entitlment used for Heaps.

Cougar Claws, Jake is faster than you realize. DeAnthony Thomas's best time, that I could find, is actually 10.57. So if Jake Arslanian is running a legit 10.6, he's flying.

10.6??? Looking over the last two seasons of track results in Utah. No mention of this kid anywhere. Must have been timed by his football coach. 10.6 would be a Utah state record.

His 10.67 is very impressive, but what's even more impressive is his 48.58 400m time. That means he's tough and he works hard and isn't just one of those kids blessed with natural speed.

He's from Nampa, ID. Dominated the Idaho 4A State track meet in 2011. Must have just moved to St. George.

Yeah, he moved from Idaho last year. His relative, Sarc Arslenian, was Pine View's football coach some years ago and is a good friend of Coach Hosner. He won't be as explosive as DeAnthony Thomas (he's taller and has a longer stride) but he will always be a threat to get open deep downfield.

Point well made about the 400 time. Drew Phillips had a stellar 400 time as well (it still kills me that we lost him). Hopefully coaches use him as a deep threat and don't disqualify him from that because he isn't 6'4" That is the mistake coaches made with Mckay Jacobsen. Even though he had the slot receiver body type I don't know if that was the right position for him. Mckay also had incredible deep threat speed (remember 2009), and that was neutralized out of the slot. I don't know about Jake's lateral quickness (which DAT also has) but if he is just a "run fast in a straight line" type of a guy then I hope that is what he is used for.

Ya I would turn down Stanford for BYU anyday. Way to go brother welcome to the fold. proof that we don't lose recruits to anyone! best program in the country.
