The fact that he made it this far is a black mark on conservative family values.

Yet, 30+% of the Republican voters, in Florida, ignored Romney's message and still voted for Gingrich.

Gingrich has sworn that Romney will be "fighting" the political wars on two fronts (against the Democrats as well as against the Conservative Evangelical Christian Tea Party Republicans) well into August.

I have to agree but also say that really, Newt doomed Newt.

If he had lived a virtuous lifestyle, he would have had the approval of thousands of pastors behind him, who instead went to Santorum.

If Newt hadn't gone back on his contract for America when he was speaker and dabbled in ethics violations, those who worked with him would be rallying to his defense instead of condemning him as double talking mad man.

If Newt would have not tried to pander so ridiculously at every stop, he would not have come up with this lunar colony idea that had been the final nail in his coffin.

Leroy has no discipline or organization. doesn't get on the ballot in his home state and is not on the ballot in the upcoming Missouri primary. leroy is all about himself. He paints his wife as this brilliant accomplished person. Maybe she is, but remember, she was a staffer when she met him. She wasn't exactly setting the world on fire.

Newt just does NOT have what it takes to be a potential presidential candidate. He cannot fool everyone at the same time. He is a lot of hot air and not consistent. I have watched him and he is the one who is so fragmented, no one can follow him the way a presidential nominee should be to get the support of the (his)party.

Who was he trying to fool? He needs to stand up and face his fate and move on.

The difference between Mitt Romney and Newt is like night and day.

Viva Romney!

Dear Eric, The word is "normality" not "normalcy." Otherwise your article is dead on target!

In his speech last night, after getting pummeled by Romney, Newt pledged "(his) life, fortune and sacred honor" to the American people.

Question:

Would that be the capitalistic "you get to keep what you earn" life he so eagerly pursues himself but denies Romney? (according to Newt, Romney obviously stole his wealth from the poor)

Would that be the $1.6 million fortune he made as (no matter how hard he tries to deny the essence of his duties) a lobbyist for Freddie Mac who knowingly handed out mortagages like candy to people who obviousy couldn't handle the payments?

Would that be the same honor he pledged to his FIRST wife while he was committing repeated adultery on her with his first mistress?

Or, would that be the same honor he pledged to his SECOND wife (who happened to have previously been his first mistress) while he was committing repeated adultery on her with his second mistress?

Sorry, Newt, you have no life, no fortune and no honor I want anything to do with.....

(P.S. - Gingrich fans, this isn't an "unfair attack", these are things we conservatives like to call "facts".)

Just saw on TV that Newt is now suing Florida to get the delegates in Florida (Romney won all 50) given to each of the candidates based on the proportion of the vote they received.

Good Lord.....the man has no morals.

BTW, did you all see where Gingrich, and I quote, said that Romney was "extraordinarily insensitive to religious freedom in America".

Like I said, the man has no morals.

He said he has 46 to go when he really should have counted the two states he didn't register in time that would make it 44 to go for his signs. He doesn't ever admit he made any mistake.

When I see that Trump is supporting the Newt guy that this article, "Lack of organization and discipline dooms Newt Gingrich, pundits say" indicates that in actuality Trump would fire. Strange bed-fellows, especially when you see the picture of both of them together.

What varied alliances people are doing for political or personal reasons is amazing in 2012. The question is, "Why would Trump sign up for Newt?" Really???

Newt claims he's a "Reagan Conservative" but states that his favorite President is FDR...whose policies definately were not founded on the conservative priciples of the Founders.

Nonetheless, I would vote for him should he win the nomination (or Santorum or Paul) before I would ever vote for man in the White House currently.

Romney is a master problem solver. If he can bring that skill to the Presidency we may, just maybe, turn our country around.

I have a question, Newt has gone after Romney for his wealth, did we ever find out about his half million dollar jewelry store purchase?

He doesn't want to help the Republican party and most people can see that. He is a lone man because of his actions in the 1990s and now. Pride is his issue. Pride does not include looking after other people. His specialty is his words, some are good for him but he doesn't have friends. People need to realize that. Organization does require people and working with people. His being out of the process for months didn't help him, either.

With this type of rhetoric he produces will not be good if he becomes the candidate. President Obama will have a hayday with him and "our" values he will supposedly represent. We need Family and Religious values. We need someone who has managed more than the House of Representatives for a couple of "good" years but not one who left because of ethics and working with others problems. Moral values are important also. He will have a hard time showing that for our youth who definitely need a good example for morals, integrity and character. With the small amounts he does for charity doesn't show service. He shows service to himself by the extravagant spending at Tiffany's. His demonstration of help for the poor is lacking if he spends up to $500,000 for jewelry and a pittance for charities.

He needs to put his heart where his mouth is. His eyes don't show kindness and love for people as he speaks to us.

He needs to be a people person even in a rough and tough campaign and in 30 years, I have not seen that with him.

What dooms Newt is his own narcissism. What normal person has multiple affairs, some while in congress, one on a dying wife, then gets censured by congress, then becomes a lobbyist (excuse me "historian"), then ultimately runs for President and expects to win?! The man is incredible kind of like Vlad the Impaler was incredible.

How is this for a huge indicator of what Newt is lacking: in the House vote for censure, 80% of HIS OWN G.O.P. House members voted FOR censuring the Speaker. Lacking in leadership skills, unable to build trust and loyalty among his own House members. Must be some substance to the ethics violations after all.
