I've been waiting for something like this to come out, but I'm not sure this is exactly what I was looking for. What I want is a DVD full of highlights from his college games, mostly the key ones, including interviews before and after key games with the voice of Greg Wrubell calling the game in the background while showing the clips. I'd be interested to know if the DVD is like that.

I am a Ute fan who rooted for Jimmer hard last year. It was fun. Jimmer captivated the nation.

As for Jimmer and the NBA. I still root for him to succeed, but I don' think he will be an NBA star. Hopefully, Jimmer can fill a role and will find his niche with the Kings or some other organization.

I understand the love affair with Jimmer, but I think many of his fans need to be realistic about his NBA status.

The Jazz were smart not to draft Jimmer despite what many wanted in that regard. As great as things were in college for Jimmer, the NBA is a different animal.

If Jimmer was in a Jazz uniform and things weren't going well for him, many fans would blame Corbin or the team for Jimmer not thriving. That's to much pressure for an organization to take on (a home town hero who the community thinks is better than he is).

Fans yelling for Jimmer to come back in at the end of the game the other night at Energy Solutions Arena was embarrassing for me as a Jazz fan.

The U never put out a DVD about Bogut. Jimmer is how he is because of the typical Cougar nation hype.

Thou shalt not worship any graven image ya'all.

I agree with Johnson. Puh-lease!!!

So as to not be misunderstood as one who thinks Jimmer is Superman, allow me state my position. I personally don't think Jimmer will be a superstar in the NBA but he could make a living for a number of years and do well if he can improve in a few areas. However, he was an excellent college basketball player and accumulated a long list of fantastic plays, shots, etc that were amazing. Regardless of the team or the defender, they couldn't stop him.

I have a terrible feeling I'll be getting one of these DVD's for fathers day...after Deseret Book tosses them into the Bargain Bin.
