"I don't think you can ever count on a state being in your corner." -Romney
I think you can count Utah in your corner, Mitt. Being the #1 best financially-fit state in the nation, we recognize financial success and you can count on Utah to vote for you overwhelmingly.
What a non-story. Did you expect him to say he thinks he'll lose?
Probably true, but many Republicans are frustrated that the choices for a candidate are down to those 4 men.

Also, I think Romney will win Florida, however....
Romney also had proclimations of victory, about Iowa.
Which, Santorum won.
Or at the very least, Romney supporters call a 'virtual tie.'

It is interesting to watch. Many who claim to be against the 'establisment' of the Republican party are...going to vote for Romney.
And on the OTHER side of the specturm, those who claim to be 'anti-establishment' Gingrich, Palin, Cain and Hatch...
are relying on the agnst AGAINST the Republican party, to see them through the day.
All, while denying the last Republican President....
was, in fact, the Republican President.

"I think you can count Utah in your corner, Mitt. Being the #1 best financially-fit state in the nation, we recognize financial success and you can count on Utah to vote for you overwhelmingly."
Being among the top for foreclosures and bankruptcies doesn't really demonstrate the financially-fit citizenry that you claim. The state, meaning the government, being the best to come out of the financial crisis hardly qualifies the rest of us to make any claims.
And let's be honest; the reason Utah is in Mr. Romney's corner has less to do with financial management and a lot more to do with where he goes on Sundays.
Claudio...
Lets be honest. A LOT of people are making judgments on Romney based upon where he goes to church on Sunday... not just people in Utah.
Claudio and CottageCheese
I don't care where he goes on Sunday. I just know what he's done in the past. Because of what he's done in the past, there is no way I would ever support him or vote for him for president. The United States deserves better (and that goes for all the people running for the office this year).
Romney may win , but it will not be for help from the Fair and Balanced FOX news(LOL). Sunday it was 4 solid hours of Gingrich and in between the opinion shows it was update after update. Now today it is every 12 to 15 minutes the Gingrich show with interviews by the unbiased of course (Gingich daughter) commentators and guests. Again, never is it mentioned that FOX employeed the angry grandpa, who is for no negative ads, for negative ads, against negative ads and finally for negative ads. Head spinning yet? Having had a chance to monitor Fox News it appears that 75 to 80 percent of their reporting is negative Romney. Even when Rasmussen reports that polling shows Romney expanding his lead(15-18 percent) in Florida there is always a twist to this as it is not bad for the Bomb thrower! A positive Romney statement is vitually always followed up by a negaive comment before moving on. Gingrich comments are left to stand unchallenged. Again, just look at Hannity and Susteran for the most literal proof! They will not challege their buddy and former co employee Gingrich. Was he not collecting a check from FOX news the same time he was collecting a check from Fannie and Freddie as a LOBBYIST?
Lastly, Please remember Senator Santorum's daughter in your thoughts or prayers!
CottageCheese, I absolutely agree. :) And Furry, my comment wasn't meant to show support for or against Mr. Romney. I simply wanted to point out the fallacy of Riverton Cougar's statement.
claudio, cottage & furry, so you don't like where Mitt goes on Sundays hence a no vote, but you have no problem or at least you failed to mention it, that, where Newt goes on Friday night behind his wife's back is oky dokey?
Great judges of character.
So if Mitt were let's say Baptist, Catholic or gay, how would you see him
as one of the final four candidates?
Uh huh, thought so.
I don't care where Mitt or anyone else goes to church on Sundays.
He's a Flip-flopper.
Meaning -- NO Integrity.
His being LDS makes him even more of a hypocrite than the others.
He's skating on thin ice, IMHO.
"Your personal behavior must be impeccable. You must be a man of integrity, above reproach of any kind. Your example will set the tone for the direction your people follow." ~ Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley
Re: Pagan | 11:29 a.m. Jan. 30, 2012
If Mitt Romney was a Democrat and Obama was a Republican you'd be singing his praises. If Romney supported same sex marriages and Obama didn't you'd be singing his praises regardless of which party he was affiliated with.
I'm not aware of any "personal" behavior of Mitt's that has been anything but exemplery. If anyone has any examples they can post them. Just because someone disagrees with some political positions Mitt has taken doesn't mean Mitt has done ANYTHING that is dishonest or without integrity. No one has EVER brought up ANY incorrect personal behavior. And if there was anything, it would have come out. Now, if you're talking about Newt--that's a different matter.
Romney or Gingrich will be treated like raw meat being fed to a hungry lion come election time. Thats how much of a challenge either of them present to president Obama. Sad for Republicans but true.
'If Mitt Romney was a Democrat and Obama was a Republican you'd be singing his praises. If Romney supported same sex marriages and Obama didn't you'd be singing his praises regardless of which party he was affiliated with.' - Rifleman | 1:23 p.m. Jan. 30, 2012
So, the entire crux of your argument...
is a hypothetical situation.
Can't see how that's a reliable source.
As, I could win ANY argument, if I could MAKE UP the scenerio.
You are forgeting Rifleman, Mitt Romney was FOR gay rights...
before he was against it.
**'Mitt Romney pledges opposition to gay marriage' - CBS News - 08/04/11
Then:
'It's also notable because Romney was not always such a strong opponent of gay rights. In 1994, he sent a letter to a gay Republican group saying he would be a stronger advocate for gay rights...' - Same Article
So, why are you claiming I would be 'supporting' Romney, if he was FOR gay rights, when it is provable he WAS...
and would YOU be so supportive of Romney, if he was a Democrat? Muslim?
See, that, is a question.
Not an assumption, of guilt.
Unfortunately FOX News has become the spokesperson for the anti Mitt crowd, so goodby Fox.
The basic problem the Romney campaign has is 30%- he does not seem to get much more support than that with his party- so the question is what if Rck Santorum were out- would his 15% go to Gingrich or would they sit- also this brings us to the fall- will the lack of energy in the base for Romney transmit into people staying home or will their desire to beat the President compel them to vote- a republican without the base is in big trouble- but more importantly this is all 10 moths away and in politics that is two eternities- so for now it is just news cycle fodder that gets you to watch comercials and create revenue for TV stations
Wow, AZRods. Talk about finding offense and innuendo when none was there! Not only did you completely misread my statement, you somehow twisted it into an attack on Mr. Romney and a full-throated support of any and all candidates who are Mr. Gingrich, Baptist, Catholic or gay, none of which were mentioned or even hinted at. You might want to calm down since you're trying to pick a fight with someone who is completely confused at your anger. :)
And again, as I've already stated, my comment was not directed at all towards support for or against Mr. Romney. I was merely pointing out the fallacy of Riverton Cougar's comment. If you want to vote for Mr. Romney because of his religious affiliation, by all means do so. I could care less what you choose to base your vote on. Just so you know, that's not a reason I care to use when I cast my vote, despite the fact that both Mr. Romney and I attend the same church. If I vote for him or if I don't, our similar religious preference will not be a factor. Next time you wish to hurl insults, you'll at least have more facts about your target.
That is great news for the Obama camp.
Once again, the GOP falls flat!
